The primary goal of the training we deliver is to provide the knowledge and skills to improve the candidates’ efficiency and effectiveness. We assess prior learning and experience to prevent duplication of training, identify training needs, design programmes to satisfy these needs and credit the prior knowledge towards a qualification that may form part of a programme. Many of our programmes can be provided as distance learning.

Health & Social Care Programmes
The aims of the health & social care qualifications are to support the learning needs of candidates who work or want to work as care assistants and care managers in the health and social care sectors allowing candidates to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the health and social care sectors. Act as a standalone qualification, accredited as part of the QCF at Level 2, contribute knowledge and understanding towards the related Level 2 and 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care and provide additional skills and knowledge which go beyond the scope of the NOS.
Candidates are required to complete a number of assignments which contain both practical and theoretical activities with the focus on real work situations.

Improve Office Skills and Customer Service
The training is work-based, learners will gain knowledge, understanding and skills essential for working in an office environment, such as customer service, communication skills, information and data management, working with others, managing and improving own performance and prioritising own work.
PLUS a full range of soft skills workshops accredited by the UK's leading awarding bodies.
Accredited one-day workshops
Accredited one-day workshops are also available that resolve specific issues and can gain credits towards a full Diploma qualification ie Award or Certificate. Programmes are flexible and can be set up at any time customised to the needs of an organisation. Quality assurance is agreed and a team assembled consisting of Ability Staff, nominated participants and client sponsors. Pre-programme assessment of participants can be set up and agreed which allows for action learning plans.
In-House Programmes
All our accredited and non-accredited programmes can be delivered in-house or at a venue of the client's choice.
We work with businesses in the accreditation of their in-house programmes to enable acknowledgement linked to a formal qualification. This includes short workshops, clusters of courses or modules and professional learning.
Training is delivered in a professional adult study environment. Each year several hundred candidates attend programmes at Ability's venues in London and Kent and at employer's premises across the south east of England.
