You are here: Managing Activities Short Workshops - Presentation Skills

Presentation Skills

Introduction:
Back in 1973 a survey suggested that 19% were frightened of dying. However, 41% were frightened of public speaking! And things haven't got any better since then. It seems that most people are really scared about getting up on their feet in front of others and speaking. If you add in the need to get a particular message across then things get even worse. Of course, for managers and others at work, giving presentations isn't optional. It's something that has to be done!

But in fact anyone can learn to develop an effective structure for their presentation. And there are simple skills that can help remove the unnecessary fear and allow a clear, compelling presentation.
