Introduction
The occasions for written reports sometimes seem endless. They may include financial investment recommendations to management; proposals for future developments; progress reports on projects and other work in progress; studies into productivity and safety. Much information in business is too complex to allow a verbal report, management, and others, may need time to review and analyse the information.
Often the information is poorly organized and presented meaning that the ideas in the report are not given their due importance and consideration. Writing an effective report is not necessarily an easy task but there are approaches which can increase a reports effectiveness while reducing the time taken to write it.
