Introduction:
One of the commonest complaints of people at work is the sheer number of meetings they have to attend where nothing worthwhile gets achieved. But it doesn't have to be like that. When meetings are properly set up and efficiently run they can be a major force for an effective organization. There are skills and procedures that any manager can use to ensure that their meetings contribute to achievement rather than boredom.
Aim:
To provide the skills needed to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of meetings.
Participants:
Mainly intended for those who chair or run meetings but also suitable for those who regularly attend them.
Objectives:
By the end of the course participants will be able to:
- Plan, organize and set objectives for meetings;
- Build an effective agenda;
- Chair a meeting that achieves the agreed objectives;
- Involve everyone at a meeting so that all views are explored;
- Use a range of process skills to make meetings constructive.

If an organization wants to change the way meetings run we can supply an experienced facilitator to help define internal guidelines and run initial meetings to embed the changes in the culture.
