Training Needs Analysis
This one day course is designed to examine how within an organisation needs may exist which can be met by systematic training. How needs make themselves felt and hence how they may be identified and possible solutions recommended.
Within the course delegates will be involved in a field study simulation, which will enable them to apply an identified approach to Training Needs Analysis, establish their priorities and make recommendations to senior management.
Delegates will explain their method of analysis and subsequent findings by written report and personal presentation. This course will suit training officers and managers who are involved in the active continuous analysis of training needs who wish to study a systematic method of achieving a more complete result.
The course is so constructed that delegates are encouraged to relate the tuition to their own company situation. The right training for you and your staff will increase the sum or range of skills, knowledge or attributes available to your business. But it will only make good business sense if it also improves your business' performance.
Before choosing a type of training or a training provider, you should therefore align your training needs with your business strategy. The best way to do that is by carrying out a training needs analysis (TNA).
A TNA is a systematic way to investigate your business trainingneeds and provide you with information needed to make good training decisions - the ones to make your business more successful.
A TNA will allow you to:
- Assess the current skills level of individuals in your business
- Quantify the total skills available to your business
- Identify the skills needed to take your business forward.
- Analyse the gap between your business' current skills resources and future skills needs.
- Plan for bridging that gap with appropriate training.
At the end of the course, delegates will be able to:
- Construct a comprehensive and continuous analysis to determine company or department training and staffing requirements.
- Identify and recommend training priorities which contribute to organisational effectiveness
- Recommend appropriate direct action to be taken by Senior Management as a result of the survey, by written report and personal presentation.
