Introduction:
Information is the lifeblood of any organization. If staff at any level fail to communicate effectively and efficiently the organization is probably on the path to failure. To be an effective communicator at work requires people to organize themselves and their thoughts so they can focus their efforts on the significant. They need to be able to write clearly, ask productive questions and contribute to meetings.
Aim:
To improve information flow in the organization by improving skills in communicating.

Staff at any level who need to be able to communicate effectively with others.
Objectives:
By the end of the course participants will be able to:
- Ask effective questions to gain relevant information from others;
- Play an effective role in meetings;
- Plan and write clear and concise memos, letters and emails;
- Deal quickly and efficiently with incoming paperwork.

- Meeting structures and rules
- A simple structure for letters, memos and emails
- A process for managing incoming paperwork
Style
Participants will be expected to contribute to discussions and complete a variety of individual and group tasks during the course.
